CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda
Date: 09th February 2017
Kick-off: 19:00 CET
In what is one of the most anticipated games of Round 22, CSKA Moscow will host Crvena Zvezda Belgrade.
CSKA hasn’t looked good recently, as the reigning champions have managed to win three games in their last eight matches. The team from Moscow simply hasn’t been able to find consistency in the past month and as a result they even allowed Real Madrid to overthrow them from the first spot in the standings. In their previous game, Moscow was defeated by Fenerbahce.
After a string of seven consecutive victories, Crvena Zvezda finally lost, as they were defeated by Anadolu Efes Istanbul in the previous round. Nonetheless, thanks to their good performances over the past two months, the Reds are currently looking like a solid playoff participant, as they occupy the fifth place in the standings.
CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda: Head to head stats

CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda: Prediction
CSKA do own the best offense in the entire Euroleague (86.7 ppg), but they will have some serious opposition on Thursday, as Crvena Zvezda is the team with the best defense in the tournament (73.3ppg). However, the Reds are the second-worst when it comes to scoring points, as they have averaged only 74.7 ppg.
When both clubs played earlier this season, Crvena Zvezda did manage to hold CSKA to just 67 points, which is 20 points less than their season average. However, then the game was played in Belgrade, which could prove to be a huge difference on Thursday.
Zvezda will play without Jovic and the general impression of this game is that they’ll sacrifice it in orther to recharge their batteries after a marathon of successes. Even if they would go full force they would probably still lose in Moskow. On the other side CSKA will have Teodosic again who played his worst match of the season in Belgrade. He has some scores to settle of his own.
Expect a clear win for CSKA Moscow.
