Dallas vs Tauro
Competition: CONCACAF Champions League
Date: 1 March 2018
Kick-off: 02:00 CET
You can call it the “beauty” of football, or yet another proof of how “cruel” football can be. Dallas, an MLS side, lost to modest Tauro in Panama last week, despite creating far-far more chances. Their goalkeeper made a big mistake in Tauro’s first real visit to his box (from a corner kick), Dallas went 1-0 down, and failed to answer. Actually, Dallas should have put the game to bed in the first half, when they were the only team attacking, creating, but also missing chances. This goalkeeping problem is nothing new at Dallas. They had similar problems last season, the goalkeeping mistakes were not… rare isolated incidents. Defensive midfielder Kellyn Acosta, a key man in Dallas’ defence, missed last week’s game due to injury, and soon after the first leg against Tauro it was announced that his injury is serious, and he will stay sidelined for up to two months.
Seven years ago, Tauro visited Dallas in a CONCACAF Champions League group stage game, and earned a 1-1 draw. If they do the same now, they will return home as heroes, having eliminated a mighty MLS side. Last week, at home, in the first half, they looked… terrorised by Dallas, watching them miss one chance after another. Twelve minutes into the second half they won a corner, then a header, and were glad to receive a gift by Dallas’ goalkeeper. With a little bit of luck, they protected that lead, kept a clean sheet, which is always super important at home in a first leg, and now have every reason to dream of a quarterfinal spot. Dallas didn’t play last weekend, Tauro did, they lost 3-2 at Sporting San Miguelito. They are on 10 points from eight matches in Panama’s championship, sitting just 8th in the table (among only 10 participants).

Dallas vs Tauro: Prediction
I can’t imagine Dallas not winning the game and not qualifying for the quarterfinals. I just can’t.
Dallas vs Tauro: Betting Tips
A simple Dallas win pays just 1.33. “No” on “both teams to score” is at 1.72 betting odds, and my main tip, “Dallas to win and keep a clean sheet” pays 2.10.
