Darussafaka vs Buducnost
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 16 October 2018
Time: 18:15 CET
Turkish side Darussafaka fought really hard in their away match against Real Madrid last week but couldn’t avoid the loss. They were pretty numb in the start of the match, allowing Real Madrid to take a 15-point lead by the end of the first half. Darussafaka were greatly improved in the second half, but Real Madrid didn’t allow them to get too close, eventually defeating them by 109:93. McCallum scored a game-high 18 points with 6 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while Peiners (12p), Kidd (12p, 4r) and Kosut all scored double-digits. The game was lost in the three-point line, where Real Madrid scored a whopping 15/34, while Darussafaka only hit 8 of their 23. It was such a bad percentage, but Real Madrid were really good.
On the other hand, Buducnost made a poor start in this season’s Euroleague, as they fell by 71:82 at home against Olimpia Milano. They were pretty awful in the first quarter, where their opponents outscored them by 11:22. Buducnost really tried to come back into the match led by Clark who scored a total of 22 points. But Olimpia Milano held on to their lead and eventually edged out Buducnost in the final quarter. Besides Clark scoring a game-high 22, Jackson also scored 12 points with 4/4 triples, Ivanovic had 11 points with 6 assists and 4 rebounds, while Omic scored 11 with 6 rebounds. Buducnost will play host to Maccabi Tel Aviv later in the week and might look towards this match instead.

Darussafaka vs Buducnost: Prediction
Darussafaka easily won both matches last season before reaching the final and eventually capturing the trophy. Buducnost will surely want to take revenge for last season’s elimination, but they should have a pretty tough time in Turkey. I will go with the home team to cover a -5.5 spread @1.80, one way or the other.
