Defensa y Justicia vs Colon
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 8 December 2018
Kick-off: 23:20 CET
Defensa y Justicia are just… refusing to lose. Last weekend, at Huracán, it looked like their time was up, they were losing 1-0 when added time starting counting. They were the only team left undefeated in the Superliga (seven wins, five draws), but… seconds were passing, and they looked almost doomed at Ducó. Turned out, they weren’t; Lisandro Martínez equalized in added time, salvaged Defensa a point, and kept them the only team in the league not to have lost a single game thus far. Defensa have drawn in three of their last four matches. The… irony of the matter, is that their longest poor parts of a game were against Tigre, in the match they won(!). In their three draws, they stack to their normal style of play, attacking, passing the ball around quickly, searching for vertical passes, and despite the fact that they needed an added-time goal to avoid defeat last weekend, I’m under the impression that putting their three recent draws together, they deserved more than three points from those matches. They are 3rd in the table, on 27 points from 13 games.
Another… forgettable performance by Colón last weekend, when they hosted Belgrano. They hadn’t won in six matches (Superliga and Copa Santa Fe combined), they were playing against a team weaker than them (at least theoretically), plus, they were playing at home, and they even took the lead in the 29th minute, but… no; they got equalized just before halftime, and failed to score again in the second half. They are 16th in the table, on 16 points from 14 matches. On another note, they are still searching for their new full-time coach. Julio Comesaña is a candidate, but they can’t reach a deal with him today or tomorrow, because he is in the middle of super important matches with his current club, Junior (Barranquilla, Colombia). Diego Dabove is another candidate (he’s currently working at Godoy Cruz). There is a third candidate, but Colón’s president is keeping his name a secret.

Defensa y Justicia vs Colon: Head to head Stats
Colón won 2-3 in Florencio Varela back in 2015. They had never visited Defensa before that.
Defensa y Justicia vs Colon: Prediction
Defensa should win this one; they are a much better team, they are playing at home, and their rivals are one big mess at the moment.
Defensa y Justicia vs Colon: Betting Tips
Defensa’s win is at 1.66. Combined with “under 2.5 goals”, it… jumps to 3.00. Defensa may love attacking, but truth is, they don’t score that much, they have 17 goals in 13 matches in the championship. On the other hand, they have conceded just nine goals, and Colón are anything but a… scoring machine.
