Deportes Tolima vs Athletico Paranaense
Competition: Copa Libertadores
Date: 6 March 2019
Kick-off: 01:30 CET
Deportes Tolima won the Apertura tournament in Colombia last year, earning a direct ticket to the Copa Libertadores group stage. Last time they appeared in the competition was in 2013. Back then, they eliminated César Vallejo in the qualifiers, and then went on to pick up eight points from their six group matches, decent, but just not enough to qualify for the next round. On Saturday they were awesome at Jaguares de Córdoba, throwing a party, 0-4. They were 0-3 up by halftime, having pretty much secured the three points. It was their first win in four matches, a perfect morale boost ahead of their Libertadores debut. They are 5th in Colombia’s championship, on 13 points from nine matches. Their home record has been anything but stellar recently, losing to Junior and drawing with Atlético Bucaramanga.
First of all, forget “Atlético Paranaense”; their directors wanted to… shake things up, so they altered the design of their jersey, they “touched” (more like… made it totally different) the club’s crest, and they thought “why not change the name as well?”, coming up with “Athletico”. Ok(…). They are in the Copa Libertadores group stage because they won the Copa Sudamericana last season. Tiago Nunes, the coach who led them to fantastic results in the second half of last season, kept his job (anything else would have been a ridiculous surprise), and in a message to the fans just a couple of days ago he told them to dream big, believe in the team, assuring them they have the roster to do better than last season (at least domestically). Central midfielder Lucho González and right-back Jonathan stayed back. They are expected to start with Santos, Madson, Thiago Heleno, Léo Pereira, Renan Lodi, Camacho (or Wellington), Bruno Guimarães, Léo Cittadini (or Tomás Andrade), Marcelo, Nikão and Marco Ruben, the Argentinian striker who was signed to cover the gap of Pablo, their leading scorer last year, who is no longer there.

No history between these two.

The hosts are considered rather clear favorites to win, but I wouldn’t bet on that.
Deportes Tolima vs Athletico Paranaense: Betting Tips
Athletico’s win in “draw no bet” is at 2.55, with their double chance at 1.67. I seriously doubt the Curitiba side will start their group campaign losing.
