Edinburgh vs Dragons
Competition: Guinness Pro14
Date: 08 September 2017
Kick off: 20:35 CET
Edinburgh were forced to work hard for a win against the Blues, while the Dragons suffered a pretty big loss against a tournament favourites so both these teams are in very different places ahead of this important second clash of the season.
The Scots in the capital managed to hit the road and on the opening fixture of the tournament enact a win over a Blues side that looked to be its usual disappointing self. It was a tight 20-10 win for the Scots as they scored two tries to one against the Welsh region, but it was a worthy win, especially on the road and especially for a side that is looking to become a force that is bigger than just being the second Scottish side in the tournament. The Dragon’s present another Welsh region that should not be too much of a threat as they are not the strongest, and not the best traveler either so the team from the Scottish capital should be eyeing a second win here in a row.
For the Dragons they have a lot of rebuilding to do both on and off the field as they try and break the shackles of administrative issues in the WRU as well as their poor player retention and general unimpressive play. They fell below one of the Italian sides on the table last year and will not want to be anywhere near that again in this tournament, this year. They have another tough encounter on their hands after facing Leinster and getting a hammering there at home. Going away, to face a hyped up Edinburgh side will not be easy, but they will look to try and overawe them with some free flowing rugby, but they will need to be prepared to defend as well as Edinburgh are partial to some try scoring.

Edinburgh vs Dragons: Head to Head Stats
The historic results rest with Edinburgh in this fixture as the last 10 games have seen them win a huge majority. It has been eight wins for the Scots and just two for the Dragons, but they have won a recent one as they beat Edinburgh at home back at the end of 2016.
Edinburgh vs Dragons: Prediction
Edinburgh have shown just in one game that they are looking to turn their fortunes around and as such have shown some enterprise and grit in their one win. Dragons on the other hand had it really tough as Leinster dictated play on their own turf. It will not get much easier having to go away against a robust Edinburgh side so they will not win this one either.
