Everton vs Bournemouth
Competition: Premier League
Date: 04 February 2017
Having hit a rich vein of form, Everton would not have been happy with their latest draw against Stoke, but as they push for higher log positions, they will be grateful for a mass slip up. They have a chance to gain some more points when they face a Bournemouth side that have not seen a win for a little too long now.
Dropping down to 14th, Bournemouth’s stellar movements through the Premier League seems to be ebbing away They climbed their way from 90-odd places down the English football log to reach where they did, but they have hit too many losses and draws in recent times for a club so determined to impress. The South Coast side are down to 14th now after they suffered another loss to Crystal Palace, a side that was lacking in wins itself. They have now drawn two and lost two of their last four games and it is starting to show.
Everton meanwhile would have been hoping to add to their tally of consecutive wins when they faced a tough and determined Stoke side, but a draw is all they could salvage from the midweek game. However, they are still in a good space with all of the top nine teams, including Stoke, dropping points at the midweek fixture. There is catching up to b done and Everton will feel they are peeking at a good time as there is still time to go in the competition, but some other teams are lagging behind. A win against Bournemouth will almost be a non negotiable for their season to carry on in a good run.
