Feyenoord vs Manchester City
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 13th September 2017
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadion Feijenoord
After winning the championship in the Netherlands last season in dramatic fashion, Feyenoord didn’t need to go through qualifiers to earn a spot in the group stage of the Champions League. They got to focus on the new championship season in August, and after four game weeks they are the only team to have maintained a perfect record, picking up all 12 possible points. Last Saturday they beat Heracles 4-2 away from home, picking up from where they had left off just before the international break, when they had done even better against Willem II at home, thrashing them 5-0. Former Netherlands international Giovanni van Bronckhorst remains in charge, more than two years after getting hired to lead Feyenoord from the bench.
Coaches, players, club officials, the Press, a good part of the fans in England, they seem to agree that Manchester City are the team to beat this season in the Premier League, and their 5-0 triumph against Liverpool last Saturday kind of verified that. Ask Pep Guardiola though, and he’ll tell you that his favorite match at the start of the PL season was against Everton, more than three weeks ago, the only game City haven’t won so far. They were left 1-0 down just before halftime, and, very importantly, reduced to ten men, after Kyle Walker’s dismissal. Playing against a very good Everton side (on that day), City managed to salvage a point, making their manager hail their spirit.

Feyenoord vs Manchester City: Head to head Stats
This is the first game ever between these two.
Feyenoord vs Manchester City: Prediction
Manchester City’s win pays very little, but I’m relatively confident that the game will have at least three goals, so I’m not compromising with that 1.40 a simple City win pays.
Feyenoord vs Manchester City: Betting Tips
Manchester City and over 2.5 total goals scored is at 1.90 betting odds. It’s not… mind-blowing, but it’s definitely better than 1.40, which is how much a simple City victory pays. Pushing it, you could go for City and over 3.5 total goals, at 2.90 betting odds, counting on Feyenoord to score as well, and play their part in a 1-3 (which, by the way, is at 11.00).
