Fluminense vs Flamengo
Competition: Brazil Serie A
Date: 10 June 2019
Kick-off: 00:00 CET
Fluminense gave their all midweek in Belo Horizonte, took the lead over Cruzeiro (Copa do Brasil round of 16 return leg, with the first one having ended 1-1), went 2-1 down, but… kid João Pedro did it again, scored in added time, and pushed the tie to penalties. Cruzeiro did a better job there, Fluminense got eliminated, but overall, they left positive impressions. Bad thing for them is that João Pedro, the youngster who has made the entire country talk about him these last weeks, missed training due to high fever, and the day before the game his presence was a major doubt. The club owes the players money, but on Friday they paid one of the salaries owed, in an obvious attempt to give the players a morale boost ahead of this derby. Flu are on just six points from seven games in Serie A.
“Win everything”. Simple(?) as that. Jorge Jesus flew from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro on Friday, and just before leaving his homeland he told reporters that his goal as Flamengo’s new coach is “to win everything”. That is actually why Fla did their best to hire him, knowing that he has an unbreakable winning mentality. The Portuguese will watch this game as well as the one against CSA in a few days, but not from the bench; his first game in charge will be right after the Copa América break. It was decided like that, so he has a whole month to work with the team (excluding the players who will be taking part in Copa América). Flamengo are on 13 points from seven matches in the championship.

Fluminense vs Flamengo: Betting Tips
Fla’s victory is at 1.70. For much more, I would risk with “Flamengo and over 2.5 goals”, at 3.05.
