Fluminense vs Internacional
Competition: Brazil Serie A
Date: 14 August 2018
Kick-off: 01:00 CET
That goal Fluminense conceded at Maracana hosting Bahia, was… last weekend’s biggest spoiler for me. Nense’s victory (2.00), their clean sheet (2.37), their win combined with a clean sheet (3.10), and last but not least, “Fluminense and under 2.5 goals” (4.00), were my four tips, and they all went to trash in the 82nd minute when Fluminense got equalized, 1-1. Off the pitch, things remain… problematic. The club failed to pay last month’s salaries to players and office staff, and the fact that they terminated their collaboration with their main shirt sponsor is not making things any easier. They are in desperate need of cash, and they are counting on fans to… chip in. For some weeks now, they have been offering tickets at discounted prices at Maracana, the fans have showed up in good numbers, and Flu hope this will happen again versus Internacional. To give you an idea, the cheapest tickets for this game cost 20 reais (4.50 euros), and half that for certain categories of people.
Internacional took perfect advantage of the situation in Belo Horizonte on Monday, and snatched all three points in added time, thanks to Edenílson’s goal. It was great for them that it rained strongly, as it made Atlético Mineiro’s attempts to… play football, even tougher. Then, there was a hail storm, that interrupted the game for various minutes. Right after restart, there was a blackout at the stadium, and the game was interrupted once again. Atlético were never given the chance to find rhythm in the game, and Inter struck the perfect moment, in added time, to leave BH with all three points. They finished the 17th game week 3rd in the table, having won three of their last four games, not conceding in any of those victories.

Fluminense vs Internacional: Head to head Stats
Four draws(!) and one Inter win in the last five games between these two in Rio de Janeiro. Nense haven’t beaten Inter at home since 2012.
Fluminense vs Internacional: Prediction
I’m not convinced by Fluminense. Especially against a… rather cynical team like Inter, I seriously-seriously doubt Flu will find the way to win the game. Draw? Possibly, even though I doubt that too.
Fluminense vs Internacional: Betting Tips
Inter’s win in “draw no bet” is at 1.80, with their double chance at 1.42. “Internacional to keep a clean sheet” is my riskiest tip, at 2.75.
