Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Hertha Berlin
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 10 November 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Six defeats in a row in the Bundesliga, two goals conceded in each one of those, just one goal scored in their last five matches (and that, in a 7-1 humiliation at Eintracht Frankfurt), last in the table, you… get the picture. Fortuna Dusseldorf are in major trouble. The season is still relatively young, they have more than enough time left to react, improve their position in the table, but… losing by two, three, or more goals for weeks now, it feels like they are top favorites to return to the second division, after spending just one year at the top one. Rensing, Zimmer, Ayhan, Bormuth, Gießelmann, Zimmermann, Morales, Karaman, Lovren, Lukebakio and Hennings are expected to start. Almost half a dozen players are not at Friedhelm Funkel’s disposal. More specifically, Contento, Hoffmann, Fink, Sobottka and Wolf are all injured.
Hertha Berlin beat Bayern Munich at home a month and a half ago, that was a great day for them, but… six weeks down the road, they are still waiting for their next victory. Last weekend they lost 0-3 to RB Leipzig, getting totally outplayed in front of their own crowd. Jarstein, Lazaro, Stark, Rekik, Plattenhardt, Maier, Lustenberger, Kalou, Duda, Mittelstädt and captain Ibisevic are expected to start. Gersbeck, Kade, Liverpool loanee Grujic, and Torunarigha, are out, some due to injuries, the last two due to not being 100% fit yet to appear. Pal Dardai would love to have Grujic available, but looks like he’ll have to wait another week or two.

Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Hertha Berlin: Head to head Stats
Fortuna haven’t hosted Hertha since 2012. That game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Hertha Berlin: Prediction
I feel it’s time Hertha return to winning ways, facing one of the weakest sides in the league. They have won just once away from home this season, but drawn three times, and lost just once, facing teams much better than Fortuna.
Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Hertha Berlin: Betting Tips
Hertha’s win is at 2.10 (with their double chance at just 1.29). I’m staying with that, not trusting them to keep a clean sheet, but also being hesitant to combine their win with number of goals.
