Freiburg vs Wolfsburg
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 9 February 2019
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Florian Niederlechner salvaged a point for Freiburg in Stuttgart last weekend, equalizing 2-2 in the fourth minute of added time(!). Freiburg had taken the lead less than 10 minutes into the match, but Stuttgart scored twice between the 75th and the 83rd minute to go 2-1 up. Every point counts, and the one Freiburg earned last weekend kept them seven ahead of Stuttgart, the team that would go through play-offs to avoid relegation if the season were over today. Schwolow, Schlotterbeck, Lienhart, Heintz, Kübler, Haberer, Koch, Günter, Waldschmidt, Petersen and Grifo, this should be the starting lineup. Frantz and Okoroji were considered doubtful the day before the match. Borrello, Gulde, Höfler, Kath, Kleindienst and Sallai, all six are out, injured,
Wolfsburg did a great job in Berlin last weekend, winning 0-1, climbing up sixth in the table, on 31 points. Things were different midweek; the Wolves lost 1-0 at RB Leipzig, and were left out of the DFB Pokal in the round of 16. The way things stand at the moment, Wolfsburg are earning a Europa League ticket. Fourth-placed Leipzig are six points ahead of them, a distance possible to cover in the many games left. According to reports, coach Bruno Labbadia will have Casteels, Verhaegh, Knoche, Brooks, Roussillon, Gerhardt, Guilavogui, Arnold, Malli, Steffen and Weghorst in the starting lineup. Jung, Klaus and Mehmedi were considered doubtful the day before the match. Azzaoui, Camacho and Ginczek are definitely out, injured.

Freiburg vs Wolfsburg: Head to head Stats
Wolfsburg have won all five times they’ve visited Freiburg since March 2013.
Freiburg vs Wolfsburg: Prediction
The visitors are considered slight favorites to win the game, but I wouldn’t bet on that. I prefer to focus on goals instead, counting on Freiburg to continue playing their part in producing… rich results. Their three Bundesliga matches in 2019 have had a total of 14 goals.
Freiburg vs Wolfsburg: Betting Tips
“Over 2.5 goals” is at 1.90. The same combined with “both teams to score” pays 2.17. I have a 2-1 hunch, expecting Wolfsburg to look somewhat tired in the last 20 minutes, having played a Cup match midweek.
