Germany vs France
Competition: UEFA Nations League
Date: 6 September 2018
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Two defeats, one win thanks to an added time goal, that was all Germany managed in the World Cup finals in Russia, failing to qualify for the last 16. Things turned even… uglier right after their elimination, when Mesut Ozil retired from international football, pretty much accusing the German FA for racism. Joachim Loew remains the team’s coach, as the FA renewed his contract, despite their massive failure in Russia. This is their first game after the World Cup finals, they are hosting champions France at home, so Germany’s motivation in this game couldn’t be bigger. According to reports, they will start the game with Neuer, Schulz, Hummels, Boateng, Kimmich, Gundogan, Kroos, Brandt, Muller, Reus and Werner.
Happy times at France’s national team, after their historic success in the recent World Cup finals. Obviously, Didier Deschamps remains in charge, having at his disposal a group of players who, many of them, are young enough to star for years to comes, allowing French fans to dream of more titles the next 10 years. Hugo Lloris is out due to an injury, and Alphonse Areola should take his place. Mendy, Umtiti, Varane, Pavard, Kante, Pogba, Matuidi, Griezmann, Mbappe and Giroud are expected to be the other 10 players in the starting lineup.

Germany vs France: Prediction
Germany are considered slight favorites to win the game. We cannot know what they will look like in their first match after the World Cup finals, but I expect their… pride, their motivation, and the fact that they are playing at home, to give them that extra edge and win the game.
Germany vs France: Betting Tips
Germany’s win is at 2.60, with their double chance at 1.42. If I left winners and losers aside, I would go for “over 2.5 goals”, at 1.90.
