Germany vs Spain
Competition: EuroBasket, Quarterfinals
Date: 12th of September 2017
Kick-off: 17:45 CET
Spain didn’t play very well against Turkey this Sunday, despite the huge margin, in the end, 73-56. In fact, we might say that if it weren’t for some odd decisions by the referees, Turkey might even have some chances to catch them. The hosts were close all the time, and Spain only scored 33 points in the first half. One of the main reasons for such low number of points was an awful 3-point percentage of the Spaniards, only 33%, 8/24. However, there were some excellent sides in their game. For example, the defense was at extremely high level, and they limited Turkey to only 3 downtown hits from 20 attempts and 9 free throws. The best player was Sergio Rodriguez with 11 points, and also 9 assists and 4 rebounds. Chacho was giving the tempo and the pace to the game, organizing the attack. Ricky Rubio had team-high with 15 points, and Pau Gasol scored 11 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Germany surprised France and us. We have to admit this. They recovered after scoring only 10 points in the first quarter and won in a tight ending, but… It was not because they were extremely confident and superb. French players looked like amateurs in some situations.
We do not want to diminish Germany’s success; we just want to warn you. Shroeder and the boys decreased the number of turnovers to only 8, and had a very good 2-point percentage, 57%. There was one essential thing in their game. And that was Daniel Theis. When Germany has one more efficient player besides Shroeder on court, they can be very nasty. Theis had 22 points and 6 rebounds and Shroeder one point less, with 4 rebounds and 8 assists. The positive effects of having help up were seen immediately on Shroeder who recorded only 2 turnovers, the fewest so far, on the championship.

Germany vs Spain: Prediction
In our opinion, Spain is going to dominate this contest, mainly because Germany can’t provide tough defense. Also, they have more depth in all positions, and we might expect an intense pressure on Shroeder all the time.
Germany vs Spain: Betting Tips
This match should be skipped. There is no doubt that Spain will win but beating the spread is another matter. They can and they should but 15 points is a lot and the germans will fight till the end.
