Hannover vs Hertha Berlin
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 1 December 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
When Bobby Wood gave Hannover the lead at Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend, less than 30 seconds(!) into the game, it looked like the 96ers had something going. By halftime they were 2-1 down, and Borussia’s third goal in the 58th minute pretty much put the game to bed. Hannover conceded again, lost 4-1, failing to build on their 2-1 home win over Wolfsburg just before the international break. They are on nine points, 16th in the table. Esser, Elez, Anton, Ostrzolek, Korb, Bakalorz, Maina, Fossum, Haraguchi, Füllkrug and Wood should start. Striker Takuma Asano, center-back Felipe, another center-back Timo Hübers, midfielder Edgar Prib, and winger Noah Sarenren Bazee, all five are out, injured, almost half a dozen players not at Andre Breitenreiter’s disposal.
If you’re losing 1-3 with 20 minutes left, and you manage to salvage a point, you’ve got to be left satisfied. Hertha Berlin haven’t won a Bundesliga game since late September, that 2-0 at home over Bayern Munich, but at least they earned a point last weekend, hosting Hoffenheim. They are 8th in the table, on 17 points, in desperate need of a… three-pointer. Pal Dardai is expected to have Jarstein, Lazaro, Luckassen, Lustenberger, Plattenhardt, Maier, Grujic, Duda, Kalou, Mittelstädt and Ibisevic in the starting lineup. Mathew Leckie, scorer of their second goal last weekend, spent part of this past week with fever, and his presence in the match is not guaranteed. Half a dozen players are out, injured (Dilrosun, Gersbeck, Kade, Klünter, Rekik, and Stark).

Hannover vs Hertha Berlin: Head to head Stats
One win for the hosts, one for Hertha as well, and three draws, in the last five games between these two in Hannover.
Hannover vs Hertha Berlin: Prediction
Hannover have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 home matches in the Bundesliga, but ironically, it was against Borussia Dortmund, earlier this season, the same Dortmund that have been scoring almost three goals per game in this Bundesliga edition. Hertha have three draws and two defeats in their last five away matches. My point is, it’s hard to trust any of the two…
Hannover vs Hertha Berlin: Betting Tips
Personally, I wouldn’t bet on this game. With so many matches available this weekend, I would leave this one aside. If I absolutely had to choose something, I’d go for “over 2.5 goals”, at 1.72.
