Hoffenheim vs Nurnberg
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 10 March 2019
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Hoffenheim were left in disbelief last weekend, at the end of their game in Frankfurt. About 100 seconds before the 90-minute mark they were leading 1-2. When the referee blew his whistle for the last time, they had lost 3-2(!). They were without key players, mostly defenders, and things are not spectacularly better now. Captain Kevin Vogt should be ok enough to start, but others remain either out or, at best, doubtful. Baumann, Kaderabek, Vogt, Posch, Schulz, Amiri, Grillitsch, Bittencourt, Kramaric, Belfodil and Joelinton, this should be the starting lineup. Adams is out, suspended (got sent-off last weekend in the 65th minute, with Hoffenheim leading 1-2). Geiger is also unavailable. The day before the game, Bicakcic, Demirbay and Hübner were considered doubtful. After last weekend’s matches, Hoffenheim were sitting 9th in the table, on 29 points from 24 matches.
Nurnberg’s mission to avoid relegation became all the more difficult last weekend after losing at home to RB Leipzig, while Stuttgart and Augsburg won their games. To make matters worse, Adam Zrelak got injured and is not expected to return this season. Interim coach Boris Schommers and his players are with their back against the wall, even though it should be mentioned that they looked decent last weekend hosting a top four team, and a draw, someone could say, would have been a more fair result. Mathenia, Valentini, Mühl, Ewerton, Leibold, Kubo, Löwen, Petrak, Behrens, Kerk and Ishak, this should be Nurnberg’s starting lineup. Goden, Lippert, Pereira and Zrelak are unavailable. Margreitter was considered doubtful the day before the game.

Hoffenheim vs Nurnberg: Head to head Stats
Hoffenheim haven’t hosted Nurnberg since 2013; that year, they hosted them twice, winning 2-1 in April, and drawing 2-2 in August.
Hoffenheim vs Nurnberg: Prediction
Hoffenheim are huge favorites to win the game. I’d be surprised if they didn’t pick up all three points.
Hoffenheim vs Nurnberg: Betting Tips
Nurnberg have scored just one goal in their last five games, but they looked tight defensively last weekend, against a very good rival (Leipzig). Given that Hoffenheim’s win pays less than 1.30, I would risk combining it with “under 4.5 goals” (1.83), or even “under 3.5 goals”, (2.45).
