Huddersfield vs Newcastle
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 15 December 2018
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Huddersfield came close to earning a rather unexpected point at Emirates last weekend, but they conceded in the 83rd minute, and lost 1-0 to Arsenal. It was their third defeat in a row in the Premier League, all three by one goal. Ten points from 16 matches have them 18th in the table, first among the teams below the relegation line. Burnley and Crystal Palace, the first teams above the relegation line, are two points ahead of them. Lossl, Zanka, Hadergjonaj, Schindler, Lowe, Durm, Billing, Pritchard, Bacuna, Williams and Depoitre are expected to start for them them. Steve Mounié is suspended, and Abdelhamid Sabiri is injured. Huddersfield have played eight matches at home this season, and have won only once, a 1-0 over Fulham. Actually, they failed to score in their first five matches, and have scored in their last three, but not more than one goal per match.
It all went wrong for Newcastle last weekend; they conceded first, they lost a player (Yedlin) to a red card with the score at 1-1, and then conceded again in added time, to lose 1-2 to Wolves. They have now earned just one point from their last three matches. Thirteen points have them 15th in the table, three points ahead of Huddersfield, who, at this point, look like a direct rival in the fight to avoid relegation, even though we are not even at the middle of the season yet. According to reports, Newcastle will start the game with Dubravka, Lascelles, Dummett, Clark, Schar, Sung-yueng, Ritchie, Atsu, Diame, Rondon and Ayoze Pérez. Three guys are dealing with injury problems, Hayden, Sterry and Lejeune. In seven away matches this season, Newcastle have won just once, a 1-2 at Burnley. On the other hand, they have lost just one of their last five games as guests.

Huddersfield vs Newcastle: Prediction
I like Newcastle’s chances of earning at least one point. They have done a decent job on the road the last two and a half months, losing only once, and that was a 3-2 at Manchester United.
