Independiente vs Boca Juniors
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 2 December 2018
Kick-off: 23:20 CET
Ariel Holan had every reason not to be left satisfied last weekend, seeing his team lose 1-0 at Lanús, conceding late. Independiente had been playing good football for weeks, they had won five of their last six games, but last Monday they looked… blocked, and got punished for their lack of creativity. According to reports, El Rojo’s coach will have changes in the lineup, in every single line(!). Independiente are expected to start with Campaña, Bustos, Figal, Brítez, Gastón Silva, Francisco Silva, Domingo, Gaibor, Braian Romero (or Martín Benítez), Gigliotti and Meza. The last one, is back from suspension. The Avellaneda side are 5th in the Superliga table, on 22 points from 13 matches.
Boca Juniors are flying to Madrid in a couple of days for the return leg of the Copa Libertadores final. According to reports, Guillermo Barros Schelotto intends to start the game almost with his best possible lineup. Andrada should be the goalkeeper, Jara (or Buffarini), Izquierdoz, Magallán and Olaza should be the four at the back, Nández and Barrios look certain at midfield, Almendra will most probably play instead of Pablo Pérez (who, on the record, is still affected by what happened last weekend at Monumental), and last, Villa, Tévez and Mauro Zárate should be the three up front. Pavón remains unavailable due to his injury in the first leg of the Libertadores final, and Wanchope is dealing with a minor injury, and Barros Schelotto doesn’t want to risk him. Boca are 6th in the table, on 21 points from 12 matches (they have one in hand).

Independiente vs Boca Juniors: Head to head Stats
One win for Independiente (back in April), one for Boca as well (in 2011), and three draws, in the last five games between these two in Avellaneda.
Independiente vs Boca Juniors: Prediction
I expect the hosts to look much more motivated and focused than the visitors, and to win the game, one way or another.
Independiente vs Boca Juniors: Betting Tips
Independiente’s win is at 2.37 (with their double chance low, at just 1.34), which I find good enough to avoid risking further with number of goals.
