Independiente vs San Martin Tucuman
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 8 November 2018
Kick-off: 00:15 CET
Independiente’s win last weekend at Argentinos Juniors was at 2.20, and combined with a clean sheet it went up to 3.25. Those were my two tips, and both came good, as El Rojo won 0-2 at La Paternal. Truth is, Argentinos Juniors missed good chances to score, after going 0-1 down. On the other hand, they have scored just two goals thus far in the championship, so it’s no coincidence that they missed those chances last weekend. Emanuel Gigliotti scored both Independiente’s goals. At 31, it looks like he is going through the best period of his career. He has scored 11 goals already (none from the penalty spot), leading in the scorers table in the Superliga. Independiente are 10th in the table, but a win in this game can push them as high as 4th, and definitely 5th.
Last weekend’s home game against San Martín San Juan was one of those that San Martín Tucumán HAD TO win in order to have real chances of avoiding relegation, and they did. They rose to the occasion, and scored two fantastic goals in the second half to win 2-0. Both goals came from direct free-kicks, and both were… “wow”. San Martín Tucumán had their first good chance to score about… 10 seconds into the game(!), missed a penalty in the second half, and generally were by far the better team on the field, deserving, totally, all three points. As for Tino Costa and Matías García, their scorers, they added a real highlight to their career with their incredible free-kick goals. San Martín are 19th in the table, on 11 points from 10 matches. They started the season badly, but have now lost just one of their last six matches.

Independiente vs San Martin Tucuman: Prediction
Despite San Martín’s good moment, it will be a big surprise if Independiente don’t win this game.
Independiente vs San Martin Tucuman: Betting Tips
A simple Independiente win is at 1.44. In four away matches thus far, San Martín haven’t scored a single goal. For more than 1.44, I would risk with El Rojo’s victory combined with a clean sheet, at 2.10. If you find “Gigliotti to score anytime”, go for it.
