Israel vs Ukraine
Competition: EuroBasket, Group B
Date: 6th of September 2017
Kick-off: 19:45 CET
Israel was in a good position to advance to the quarterfinals of this EuroBasket. In the end, they lost against Georgia in over times 91-104. The hosts of this group scored only two points in overtimes and allowed 15. Richard Howell again played a perfect game. The strong center had 19 points. But the shining star was Gal Mekel with 23 buckets and 5 assists. Unfortunately, this was not enough for the home team to win. And how it could be when they had only 22 rebounds compared to 50 from their opponents. The critical thing for the Israelis was the three point shooting. They only managed to hit 3 downtown shots from 16 attempts and with that kind of percentage you cannot beat much weaker teams.
Ukraine didn’t stand a chance against Lithuania 62-94. After a very good performance against Germany, for one moment Ukraine was looking very good, but it seems that it was just a random explosion. The interesting thing is that they lost with more than 30 points, but on the other hand they were better when looking at points scored from the bench 49-37, and points from the paint 40-30. For that second category, the most important guy was Artem Pustovyi who had a fantastic 29 points and 8 boards. Obradoiro center was dominant in attack, and he had one hell of a shooting night because he dropped 14 shots from 19 attempts. He alone wasn’t enough for at least a bit tougher defiance from the Ukrainians.

Israel vs Ukraine: Head to head Stats
Ukraine and Israel played two international friendly games in 2016 and 2015. In both events, the Ukrainians were better. Also when looking at the last official game at EuroBasket, we saw that the Ukrainians won that too, and it happened in 2013. The final result of that match was 74-68.
Israel vs Ukraine: Prediction
The home court advantage will have a huge role in this match. Ukraine still has a chance to qualify if they win and Georgia loses to Italy but we are not confident that Ukraine has the experience to play such an important match in front of a full hall and most likely the hosts will want to avoid finishing last in the group.
Israel vs Ukraine: Betting Tips
Israel is going to win here. 1.5 is the odd for this matchup, which we believe is going to end in the hosts’ favor, because Ukraine is just too inconsistent for some surprise here.
