Juventus vs Dinamo Zagreb
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 07 December 2016
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Juventus will be relishing the chance to end off the group stages against a Zagreb team that has not picked up a single point in five games thus far. Juventus still have some work to do if they are to secure top spot, and that can assure that if they get all three points at home to Zagreb.
Currently, Juventus are on 11 points, but they have a close chaser in Sevilla on 10 points. It means that if they lose against Zagreb, there is a gap for Sevilla to claim top spot in Group H – if they get the three points from Lyon. However, more likely is that Juventus will be far too strong for the lowly Zagreb side and will be able to claim the victory as well as top spot in the group. It shouldn’t be too much of a challenge, but Juventus still need to make sure of the victory.
Zagreb do not have much to play for at all, they cannot even push their way into third spot with an unlikely win in Italy. They have lost all five of their games and currently sit on 0 points while third placed Lyon are on seven. The most Zagreb can do is play for pride and make it a nervy wait for Juventus as they see if Sevilla can beat Lyon and overtake them – but at least Juventus would still qualify.
Juventus vs Dinamo Zagreb: Previous encounter
Another thing that does not bode well for Zagreb is that the last time these teams met, it was a bit of a hammering from the Italians. Juventus ran out 4-0 winners, and that was away from home as Pjanic, Higuain, Dybala and Dani Alves all got a goal each.
Juventus vs Dinamo Zagreb: Prediction
Juventus still have to make sure of this result, so there is no chance of complacency from them. They will no doubt win this game, and go on to top the group, but it is a question of how many goals they will pick up. Zagreb have leaked 13 goals in five games and have not scored a single one. Juventus will win this by three goals to nil, if not more.
Juventus vs Dinamo Zagreb: Tips
Bet on the Italians to run riot here, three goals will be a minimum they score, but it will probably be closer to five.
