Krasnodar vs Valencia
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Date: 14 March 2019
Kick-off: 18:55 CET
“Valencia and over 2.5 goals” (2.22) was the main tip here last week, when Krasnodar visited the Spanish side. Attempts were 9-11 for Krasnodar(!), but Valencia still won the game, 2-1, dominating in the first half, and sort of retreating in the second one. Viktor Claesson’s goal in the 63rd minute made a big difference. If Krasnodar had left Mestalla with a 2-0 on their back, things would be incredibly difficult. Now, the situation feels… manageable. Obviously not “easy” for the Russian side, but definitely “manageable”. It’s worth mentioning that they had half of ball possession last week, and more corners won that Valencia, two more details (other than the number of attempts) that prove Krasnodar are not “any” team. On Monday, they had to settle for a point when they hosted Orenburg, getting equalized 2-2 in the 89th minute. They are second in Russia’s championship, five points behind leaders Zenit.
Just under 25 minutes into the game last week, when Rodrigo scored Valencia’s second goal (he had netted the first one himself as well), it looked like the Spanish side were on their way to securing qualification from the first leg. Things gradually changed, and Valencia had to settle for a slim advantage. I was left with the impression that it was mostly Krasnodar’s merit that the second half looked very different to the first one, and not because Valencia… stopped trying. On Sunday, they needed to take the lead three times(!) to beat Girona away from home(2-3), with the third goal coming in added time. Valencia were left with 10 men with the score at 1-2. They sit 7th in La Liga’s table.

Krasnodar vs Valencia: Prediction
Valencia are considered favorites to win, something I don’t agree with.
Krasnodar vs Valencia: Betting Tips
Krasnodar’s win in “draw no bet” is at 2.12, with their double chance at 1.60. If I left winners and losers aside, my choice would be “both teams to score and over 2.5 goals”, at 2.25.
