Lamia vs AEL Larissa
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 17 December 2017
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
Lamia traveled to PAS Giannina last weekend having gone undefeated for eight matches, and the number now is nine, thanks to some really impressive goalkeeping by Melissas in the dying minutes of the match. A little earlier, Tsoukalos had put his name on the scoresheet because Giannina’s goalkeeper had done a bad job reacting to the Lamia player’s header. All in all, Lamia were rather lucky to leave Giannina undefeated, but that doesn’t make their… accomplishment any less impressive. They are a newly-promoted team, that have managed to stay undefeated in seven consecutive Super League matches (the other two were in the Cup). They’ve only won one of those games, but still, going that long, undefeated, as a newly-promoted team, in Greece, is… beyond “impressive”.
What a game last weekend in Larissa, when AEL hosted Xanthi. Larissa’s double chance, their win in “draw no bet”, and “under 1.5” were my three tips, and all three came good, as AEL won the match 1-0, thanks to a goal in the fourth minute of added time, or, to be more precise, 27 seconds before the four minutes of added time were to expire. Absolutely crazy game, with both teams missing chances, mostly Xanthi, who have every reason to feel that they deserved at least a point. The… highlight of the match was the altercation between AEL’s coach and their main share-holder, right after their goal. They both denied it after the game, but the TV pictures are clear. Later on they said it was just a misunderstanding, but still, it was weird seeing Larissa’s players and fans celebrate, but the coach and the president… fighting each other. Then again, knowing who AEL’s president is(…), someone shouldn’t be too surprised…

Lamia vs AEL Larissa: Head to head Stats
Lamia have hosted Larissa just twice before, both times the last three years, in the Football League (second division). Two 1-0 wins for Lamia.
Lamia vs AEL Larissa: Prediction
Lamia are considered rather clear favourites to win the game, but I like Larissa’s chances of leaving the pitch undefeated.
Lamia vs AEL Larissa: Betting Tips
AEL’s double chance pays 1.65. Draw, definitely, at 3.00 betting odds, is way more probable than a Larissa win.
