Lamia vs Levadiakos
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 27 October 2018
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
Lamia earned a… crazy win last weekend, their first of the season in the championship, after three draws and as many defeats in the first six game weeks. At halftime, they were losing 1-0 at AEL Larissa, and it looked like they would have to spend another week waiting for their first “three-pointer” of the season. In the second half they scored twice, and protected their lead even after being left with 10 men, in the 75th minute. Big win for Lamia, I repeat, their first of the season, away from home, and coming from behind(!). Brazilian left-back Vanderson is out due to cards, and Mark Asigba, from Ghana, is expected to take his place. Six points from seven matches have Lamia 10th in the Super League table.
Levadiakos’ 1-2 home defeat to Xanthi last weekend was the last game of theirs with Akis Mantzios in charge. The Greek coach has already been substituted by Italian Giuseppe Sannino, who started his time at the club with double training sessions every day. Levadiakos’ goal last weekend came in added time, they were already losing 0-1 since late in the first half, and 0-2 since the 70th minute, so the game wasn’t really a… derby, as the final score may be suggesting. The Livadia side remain on just three points, second-to-last in the table. Super League and Greece Cup combined, they have lost six games in a row now, and seven of the eight official ones they have played this season.

Lamia have hosted Levadiakos just once before (in an official game). It was earlier this year, a 1-1 draw.
Lamia vs Levadiakos: Prediction
A team that hasn’t won yet at home, is hosting a team that has lost all matches away from home. All things considered, I feel draw is the most probable result in this game.
Lamia vs Levadiakos: Betting Tips
Draw pays 2.95, more if combined with “under 2.5 goals”. Usually, teams that have a new coach, like Levadiakos, start from their defense, so despite having conceded eight goals in their four away matches thus far, in this game I expect the visitors to do much better defensively. Deep down I expect a goalless draw.
