Lech Poznan vs Cracovia Krakow
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 29 July 2018
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
Lech Poznan earned several great results last season without really being the better team on the pitch, to be more specific, without being the more attacking and dominant team on the pitch, but they were definitely efficient, and if they hadn’t dropped the ball in the Championship Round, after regular season, they could have won the title. Last weekend, again without being the better team, they beat Wisla Plock 2-1 away from home. Midweek, a João Amaral goal in the 89th minute gave them a precious 1-1 draw in Belarus, versus Shakhtyor, in the Europa League qualifiers. If they had lost 1-0, they risked being left with a mountain to climb if they concede first in the return leg. That away goal has made them favorites to qualify.
Simply put, Cracovia Krakow didn’t deserve to lose 3-1 last weekend at Slask Wroclaw. Lose, yes, maybe, but 3-1 felt just too… harsh. The game was much more balanced than what the final score suggests. At the end of the day, Cracovia returned home empty-handed, and they have a second straight game on the road, against one of the best teams in the country. Cracovia’s goal in Wroclaw was scored by Gerard Oliva, a 23-year-old Catalan who joined them recently from UCAM Murcia. It was his official debut for Cracovia, so to start with a goal was really something for him, for his morale. Back in 2014 he played for Austrian side Ried, in 15 matches, and scored one goal. That was his only experience abroad, before joining Cracovia.

Lech Poznan vs Cracovia Krakow: Prediction
Lech are anything but indifferent, but on the other hand, it’s… normal to be somewhat distracted, having their plate full with the Europa League qualifiers. I’m backing Cracovia to do better than last weekend, and leave Poznan undefeated.
Lech Poznan vs Cracovia Krakow: Betting Tips
Cracovia’s double chance pays a marvelous (for a double chance) 2.20. I’m staying with that.
