Legia Warsaw vs Gornik Zabrze
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 19 November 2017
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
Legia Warsaw have been playing like… Legia Warsaw ever since their loss at Lech Poznan, a month and a half ago. They are the only team in the Ekstraklasa with 12 points from their last four matches, which allowed them to climb up second in the table, perfectly positioned to go first, if they beat Gornik Zabrze. Two weeks ago I backed them to beat Pogon in Szczecin and they did, 3-1, with a… little help from Dvali, Pogon’s defender. He was the one who gave away the penalty in the first half’s added time (0-1), and also the one who sent the ball into his own net towards the end of the match (1-3). Regardless of Legia’s ups and downs since the start of the season, one unquestionable fact is that they have the richest roster in the league, and several players who can come in and make a difference. Having that many quality players, meant that at some point, some of them would raise their game and form a reliable backbone for Legia, which is exactly what happened the last six weeks.
The Ekstraklasa and the Polish fans who follow the national championship of their country should be thankful that Gornik Zabrze are back to the top division. Not only they are leading(!) after the first half of the regular season, not only they have the best, by far scoring record so far (they have 33 goals in 15 matches!), but they’re also selling out their stadium game after game, sending multiple messages to the local authorities to finally, for heaven’s sake, move their feet and do everything necessary to built the fourth stand which is still missing. Gornik can sell up to 22700 tickets per game, they have done so consistently since the start of the season, with their fans creating a fantastic atmosphere every second weekend. Two weeks ago they beat Lech Poznan at home, 3-1, being again impressive offensively, and vulnerable defensively (they have conceded 22 goals!). “Gornik and over 2.5 goals”, at 5.25, was my riskiest tip back then. All five tips came good, including that one.

Four wins for Legia and one draw, in the last five games between these two in Warsaw. Three of those five matches went over 2.5 goals.

Two predictions: Gornik won’t lose, and both teams will score.
Legia Warsaw vs Gornik Zabrze: Betting Tips
“Both teams to score” pays 1.75 and is my main tip. Gornik’s double chance is at 2.25 betting odds, which I definitely prefer much better than Legia’s win at 1.66, no matter how good Legia have looked in their last four matches.
