Leicester Tigers vs Saracens
Competition: Aviva Premiership Rugby
Date: 01 January 2017
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Leicester have taken a small dip in their form of late, and as such they have dropped to fifth behind Exeter who managed to defeat them. They would not have liked to have been facing the League leading Saracens at this juncture in their season, but they will have to try and rally for a famous win.
The tigers looked well settled into fourth spot, behind Bath, Wasps and Saracens who are really fighting it out for the top, but a lapse in concentration reminded the Tigers that there are other challengers from below, in the form of Exeter Chiefs. The Chiefs defeated them soundly, and now they face one of the toughest teams in the competition for the past two years. The Tigers also started this season slowly but soon got into their groove as a quality outfit, and in fact the wakeup call from the Chiefs may well have been exactly what they were looking for to awaken them ahead of the Sarries arriving.
For Saracens, their steady march continues, and it has to as Wasps are catching up to them and actually have the same amount of points as the defending champions. With only two losses, to Bath and Harlequins, Saracens will need to keep it at that if they are to remain top as Wasps have a relatively easy fixture ahead of them. There has not been much to slow down the Saracens, and with that confidence and momentum they will know this is a traditionally tough fixture, but it is one that they are still the favourites to win.

Leicester Tigers vs Saracens: Prediction
It is hard to predict when exactly the Saracens will have a poor game and not get their much expected win so metronomic are they in churning out good performances. It is an away game, it is a game against a team historically with an edge over them, and it is a big game in terms of the Premiership this season, however, you still have to see the Saracens as the favourites.
