Levadiakos vs AEL Larissa
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 3 November 2018
Kick-off: 18:30 CET
Giuseppe Sannino’s debut as Levadiakos coach was a… mixed bag last weekend, at Lamia. From losing 2-0, they went level 2-2 in the 81st minute, but right after that, they conceded again, and lost 3-2. They lost defensive midfielder Zisis Karachalios as well, who got sent-off in the 88th minute. Plus, attacking midfielder Chumbinho ignored his coach on his way to the bench, after getting substituted, something Sannino didn’t like, not a single bit. Next day, Levadiakos’ president “visited” the team before the training session, and made sure to… tell them how unhappy he was with the way they had lost the game in Lamia. They are on just three points from eight matches in the Super League, second-to-last in the table. Midweek, they beat minnows Aris Avatou 4-0 at home in the Cup, making a big step towards qualifying for the next stage. They played mostly with regulars, not reserves.
As almost always, most news about AEL Larissa have to do with their president. Part of the fans, especially the organized ones, want him out. From “I’m never going to leave AEL”, the president went to “if anyone’s interested for the shares, he has two weeks to show his interest officially”. Plus, he… went to war with a certain fan who is accused of carrying a knife(!) and threatening Larissa’s president last week. On the field, AEL were superior to OFI last weekend, but failed to score, and had to settle for a 0-0 draw. They are 11th in the Super League, on seven points from eight matches. Midweek, they beat Irodotos 4-1 in a Cup match, and interestingly, after that, several AEL players talked about reaching the final and winning it(!). Last season, they… touched a miracle, getting eliminated by AEK in the semifinals.

Levadiakos vs AEL Larissa: Head to head Stats
Levadiakos have beaten and drawn with AEL at home in the two games they’ve played there the last two years. Before that, they hadn’t hosted them since 2009.
Levadiakos vs AEL Larissa: Prediction
The hosts are considered favorites to win, despite being on just three points from eight matches in the Super League. AEL have looked very weak away from home, losing three games in a row without scoring. Personally, I’d leave winners and losers aside, and bet on goals.
Levadiakos vs AEL Larissa: Betting Tips
Given that “under 2.5 goals” and “no” on “both teams to score” pay little, I would risk with “under 1.5”, at 2.50, expecting a super tight game. “No” on “both teams to score” is at 1.66, good enough, maybe, for some of you.
