Levadiakos vs Asteras Tripolis
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 2 December 2018
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
Levadiakos lost practically with their hands down at PAS Giannina last weekend. They conceded the first goal early in the game, the second one five minutes into the second half, and… they never really reacted. The club president visited the team a couple of days later, and said some harsh words to the players, especially the foreigners, asking everyone to put more… heart and guts into their game. Levadiakos finished the 11th game week sitting third-to-last in the table, level on points with second-to-last OFI. They have earned all their seven points at home. Last time they hosted a rival, was three weeks ago, that 2-1 over OFI.
Giorgos Paraschos debuted last weekend as Asteras Tripolis’ new coach, and their home game against AEL Larissa went… more easily than what even he could have wished for. They needed 55 minutes to take the lead, but truth is, they were dominant on the field since minute 1, and that Nikos Kaltsas goal in the 10th minute of the second half made perfect sense. Again, they needed to wait until added time to make it 2-0 and put the game to bed, but even before that, they didn’t really worry, they never allowed AEL to… dream of earning a point in Tripoli. They finished last weekend sitting 13th in the table, right above Levadiakos, on just 9 points, but the atmosphere has… changed so much after Paraschos’ arrival, that a couple of players “dared” say in public that the team will fight to finish in the top-5(!).

Four Levadiakos wins and one draw in the last five games between these two in Livadia.
Levadiakos vs Asteras Tripolis: Prediction
After losing their first away games of the season to strong rivals, Asteras Tripolis have now earned back-to-back draws on the road, versus weaker opponents. I expect them to leave Livadia with at least one point.
Levadiakos vs Asteras Tripolis: Betting Tips
Asteras’ win in “draw no bet” is at 1.66. If I left the safety net of “draw no bet” aside, I would bet on their win combined with a clean sheet (3.60), to make the risk really worth it.
