Liverpool vs Arsenal
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 29 December 2018
Kick-off: 18:30 CET
Seventy-five per cent ball possession, 16-6 shots, 8-2 on target, 10-2 corners won, numbers that justify Liverpool’s easy 4-0 win over Newcastle midweek. Dejan Lovren’s opener in the 11th minute sort of… simplified things for Jurgen Klopp’s men, and their 2-0 from the penalty spot less than 120 seconds into the second half pretty much put the game to bed. The Reds took perfect advantage of Manchester City’s defeat to Leicester, left them seven points behind, and their closest rivals now are Tottenham, six points behind them. Liverpool have now won seven games in a row, in all competitions, and eight consecutive in the Premier League. They should start with Alisson, van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Lovren, Fabinho, Henderson, Keita, Mane, Salah and Firmino.
Arsenal finished their game at Brighton midweek on almost 70% ball possession, but attempts were 12-7 for the hosts(!). Despite taking the lead early, all the Gunners managed was to earn a single point. A disappointing result for them, and yet another poor performance away from home. They have now won just one of their last five games as visitors in the Premier League. They are fifth in the table, on 38 points, two behind fourth-placed Chelsea. According to reports, they will start the game with Leno, Lichtsteiner, Papastathopoulos, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Elneny, Ramsey, Guendouzi, Aubameyang and Lacazette. Several guys are out, injured; Nacho Monreal, Mkhitaryan, Bellerín, Mustafi, Holding, Smith Rowe, Welbeck, and Mavropanos. The Gunners have scored just two goals less than Liverpool thus far in the Premier League, but they have allowed 25 to their rivals, while the Reds have conceded just seven goals, seven in 19 matches, an incredible number, especially keeping in mind the… nature of the game in the Premier League.

Liverpool vs Arsenal: Betting Tips
The hosts’ win is at 1.50. Combined with “over 1.5” that goes slightly up to 1.67, and combined with “over 2.5 goals” it pays a satisfying, I reckon, 2.02.
