Lokomotiv Moscow vs Galatasaray
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 28 November 2018
Kick-off: 18:55 CET
Lokomotiv Moscow have been a major disappointment in this Champions League group stage. Four defeats in as many games, just two goals scored, 11 conceded, losing by at least two goals three of their four matches, and only coming close to earning a point in their home game versus Schalke, when they conceded in the 88th minute (0-1). Mathematically, they can still finish third, so as to play Europa League football in the first half of 2019. They must beat Galatasaray, and preferably by four goals(!), as they lost 3-0 in Istanbul back in September. They are expected to start with Guilherme, Höwedes, Kverkvelia, Ćorluka, Rybus, Denisov, Krychowiak, Fernandes, An. Miranchuk, Al. Miranchuk and Smolov. They have one guy out due to injury, central midfielder Aleksandr Kolomeytsev. Last Friday they lost 1-2 at home to Ural in their championship, where they are fourth.
Four points from as many games have Galatasaray third in the group table, four points behind second-placed Schalke, with whom they have already played twice. In other words, they no longer depend on themselves. Four points in their last two games won’t be enough, even if Schalke lose both their matches, as the German side have the advantage in case they finish level on points. Galatasaray need two wins, in Moscow and over Porto at home in two weeks, and they need Schalke to earn no more than one point in their two remaining games. An extreme scenario is to leave Porto out, finishing level with them on 10 points, and beating them by two goals in two weeks from now. They should start in Moscow with Muslera, Mariano, Serdar Aziz, Ozan Kabak, Nagatomo, Fernando, Donk, Ndiaye, Feghouli, Derdiyok and Rodrigues. Attacking midfielders Younès Belhanda and Emre Akbaba, as well as winger Sinan Gümüş, are out, all three injured. Last Friday they drew 1-1 with Konyaspor at home. They are third in Turkey’s championship, three points behind leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Galatasaray: Prediction
The hosts are considered favorites to win, but I wouldn’t bet on that. I do like their chances of scoring, but I doubt they’ll keep a clean sheet.
Lokomotiv Moscow vs Galatasaray: Betting Tips
“Both teams to score”, at 1.95, is my main tip. The hosts want to earn their first point, preferably celebrate a victory in their last home game in the group. They have got nothing to lose, so I expect them to play their part in producing an open game. “Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score” is at 2.60.
