Ludogorets vs AC Milan
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Date: 15 February 2018
Kick-off: 19:00 CET
Ludogorets haven’t played an official match since December 14. Back then, they lost 2-1 in extra time to CSKA Sofia in a Bulgaria Cup game. They looked good in their friendly games last month, they even earned a 2-2 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. They are leading in Bulgaria’s championship, one point ahead of second-placed CSKA Sofia. Last month they signed 25-year-old striker Jakub Swierczok from Zaglebie Lubin. If somehow you’re following the Poland Ekstraklasa, you know that Swierczok is the kind of striker who can make something out of nothing. He is short, but that actually helps him keep almost perfect control of the ball, his first touch is almost always spotless, and he’s a great finisher as well. All in all, if he adapts to Ludogorets, and they trust him enough, he could do great things for them, and move to an even bigger club within a year or two.
After all that money they spent, being 7th in the Serie A, below… Sampdoria for example, doesn’t make AC Milan look good, but they have definitely improved the last two months. They have four wins and two draws in their last six Serie A matches, even though four of those six games were away from home. In their Europa League group they had three wins, two goalless draws against AEK Athens, and a defeat at Rijeka on the last day, a harmless loss. They remain a… work in progress, understandable up to some point, given that they signed way too many players last summer. Plus, they started the season with Montella on the bench, and now have Gattuso. As if all those new players weren’t enough to cause “chemistry” problems, they had to work on adapting to a new coach in the middle of the season as well.

Ludogorets vs AC Milan: Head to head Stats
Ludogorets and AC Milan have never played against each other before.
Ludogorets vs AC Milan: Prediction
Milan are considered rather clear favourites to win the game, which suits me just fine, because it makes Ludogorets’ double chance pay better than what I expected.
Ludogorets vs AC Milan: Betting Tips
Ludogorets’ double chance is at 1.80 betting odds, and I definitely prefer it to AC Milan’s win at 2.05. Given that it pays better than “under 2.5 goals”, which is my other choice, I’m staying with Ludogorets’ double chance.
