Mainz vs Hannover
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 9 December 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
November was a good-good month for Mainz; home win over Werder, win at Freiburg, good performance (and just narrow, 1-2 defeat to leaders Borussia Dortmund), and last but not least, victory at Fortuna Dusseldorf last weekend. They earned nine points from their last four matches, as many points as they had earned in their first nine games of the season. Zentner, Brosinski, Bell, Niakhite, Martin, Gbamin, Kunde, Latza, Boetius, Mateta and Quaison, these should be the first 11. Karim Onisiwo and Robin Quaison missed a couple of training sessions earlier in the week due to a cold, but both should be fine. Same with Daniel Brosinski who dealt with a leg problem earlier this week, but he too is expected to be available against Hannover. Coach Sandro Schwarz cannot count on Adler, Baku, Müller, and Mwene, as all four are injured.
Hannover’s November (and first day of December) was exactly the opposite; three defeats, one win, having them on just nine points from 13 matches, below the relegation line. Last weekend they lost 0-2 to Hertha Berlin at home, going 0-1 down just before halftime, and never really finding a way to react. They should start with Esser, Korb, Anton, Elez, Ostrzolek, Muslija, Schwegler, Walace, Maina, Wood and Füllkrug. According to reports, coach Andre Breitenreiter is close to losing his job, even though Michael Esser, Hannover’s regular goalkeeper, was clear last weekend after that 0-2 to Hertha, the coach is not the source of the problem, the players’ attitude on the pitch is what has been pushing the team down. Bebou, Hübers, Prib, and Sarenren Bazee, all four are injured, unavailable.

Mainz vs Hannover: Head to head Stats
Three wins for the hosts, one for Hannover, and a draw, in the last five games between these two in Mainz.
Mainz vs Hannover: Prediction
Based on form, and seeing Mainz’s win at 1.90, I’m tempted to go for it.
Mainz vs Hannover: Betting Tips
The hosts’ win, at 1.90, is my main tip. “Mainz and over 2.5 goals” is at 2.87, and I like it because Hannover tend to concede a lot away from home, and I expect Mainz to take perfect advantage of that (not necessarily keeping a clean sheet themselves).
