Manchester City vs Bournemouth
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 23 December 2017
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Manchester City have won 16 Premier League games in a row, a record, they have 17 wins in 18 PL matches thus far this season, and hosting Bournemouth presents them with an excellent opportunity to further prolong their incredible run. Midweek, they beat Leicester City on penalties away from home to qualify for the semifinals of the EFL Cup, where they are going to face lowly Bristol City, after their shock win over Manchester United. The game against Bournemouth is a rather good opportunity for Pep Guardiola to give playing time to some players who don’t usually make it to the starting lineup. The rotation is not expected to be as extensive as that midweek, at Leicester, but still, with back-to-back(-to-back) Premier League games coming up, the Catalan will definitely seize the opportunity to rest some players, hosting one of the weakest sides of the league.
Almost… Almost… Bournemouth came close to doing the… unthinkable midweek, when they equalized Chelsea seconds before the 90-minute mark at Stamford Bridge. It was an EFL Cup quarterfinal, it looked like the game would go to extra-time, but an added-time goal by Morata gave Chelsea the win, breaking Bournemouth players and fans heart. Even so, it was definitely a morale boost, to challenge Chelsea like that at Stamford Bridge. The game came soon after Bournemouth’s 4-0 embarrassment at home against Liverpool, a game they had already lost before halftime, when the score was already 0-3. Bournemouth haven’t won a game in over a month, they have three draws and three defeats in their last six Premier League matches, and are sitting 16th in the table, just one point above the relegation line.

Manchester City vs Bournemouth: Prediction
City’s win pays practically nothing, so you either go against the flow and bet on a… Bournemouth miracle, or try find something to make City’s win worth betting on.
Manchester City vs Bournemouth: Betting Tips
“City and over 3.5 goals is at 1.62”, still kind of low. To really make something decent out of this game betting on goals, you need to… cross that four-goal line, and bet on “City and over 4.5 goals”. It pays a good 2.35. Obviously, the risk is bigger, but I do like it, and one of the reasons is that I expect City’s players, mostly those who don’t usually start the games, to look… hungry, and in the mood to enjoy the game, scoring more than just once or twice.
