Manchester United vs Huddersfield
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 26 December 2018
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
“United and over 2.5 goals”, at 2.30, was my main tip last weekend when the Red Devils visited Cardiff, expecting them to score at least twice, look… “in a good mood”, after Jose Mourinho’s departure. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making his debut as United manager, they ended up not just beating Cardiff, but… sort of throwing a party. They were 1-3 up by halftime, before Jesse Lingard added two more in the second half. They are 6th in the table, on 29 points, eight whole ones behind Chelsea and Arsenal, but it was obvious last weekend that… things changed, certain players looked much more free to take initiatives, and the fact that they took the lead just three minutes into the game allowed them to really “express themselves”. According to reports, it’s de Gea, Jones, Shaw, Lindelof, Young, Pogba, Lingard, Herrera, Matic, Martial and Rashford who will start the game for the hosts.
Huddersfield hosted Southampton last weekend, finished the game on more than 60% ball possession, had more attempts than their opponents (16-13), corners won were 8-2 for them, but none of that mattered in the final score, as they lost 1-3. It was their fifth defeat in a row, in what has been a pitiful December for them. Ten points have them second-to-last in the table, obviously below the relegation line. They are expected to start the game with Lossl, Lowe, Schindler, Zanka, Hadergjonaj, Kongolo, Pritchard, Billing, Bacuna, Mbenza and Mounie. They have scored just 11 goals this season, meaning less than any other Premier League team.

Manchester United vs Huddersfield: Betting Tips
A simple United win is at just 1.25, low, but combined with a clean sheet that goes up to 1.80. Remember, Huddersfield have scored just 11 goals in 18 matches thus far. I expect at least two goals from United, but the Christmas period is… weird in England, in the sense that teams play every few days, players sometimes avoid stepping on it after building a two-goal lead, so I’d leave goals aside, stick to United’s win combined with a clean sheet, especially seeing it pay slightly more than “United and over 2.5 goals” (1.75).
