Montenegro vs England
Competition: Euro 2020 qualifiers
Date: 25 March 2019
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Montenegro visited Bulgaria on Friday, deep down I expected them to lose, but I added Bulgaria’s double chance combined with “over 1.5” (1.95) as a second tip, and Montenegro ended up leaving Sofia with a point (1-1). Actually, they were the ones who took the lead in the 50th minute, before getting equalized in the 82nd from the penalty spot. It was the kind of game that could have gone either way, both teams had chances to earn all three points, even in added time both sides missed good chances, so draw felt rather… fair at the end, as none of the two looked considerably better than their rivals. Attempts were 14-8 for Bulgaria, ball possession as well was mostly theirs, but in terms of real chances to score, things were pretty even, with Montenegro even having more attempts on target than their hosts.
Seeing England’s win on Friday pay very little, about 1.30, I risked adding “over 2.5 goals” to that (2.12), and the Three Lions ended up making my suggestion look rather… reserved. They triumphed 5-0, embarrassing the Czechs, scoring twice in the first half, and not really taking their foot off the pedal in the second one. England scored their last goal in the 84th minute, which gives you an idea how… dedicated they were to getting the maximum from that game, and of course, pleasing the crowd as much as possible. Raheem Sterling scored three goals, Harry Kane added one from the penalty spot, and a Czech player scored an own-goal late to round up England’s emphatic 5-0 dominance. Scorers-aside youngster Sancho left awesome impressions, and so did other young players, as if screaming out loud that this England team have a marvelous future, including the very near one.

Montenegro vs England: Prediction
A couple of years ago, I would be suggesting Montenegro handsomely-paying double chance, not really believing in England. Now…
Montenegro vs England: Betting Tips
I expect England to win, but their victory pays less than 1.50. I don’t expect them to score 4-5 goals, but I think “England and over 2.5 goals”, at 2.40, is worth the risk. Their double chance combined with “over 2.5 goals” pays 2.30, it covers… 2-2 for example, but I can’t imagine England conceding twice to Montenegro. It may be worth it though, the difference with 2.40 is minimal, and it covers the… always existent element of a massive surprise (a 2-2, or an… insane 3-3).
