Nacional Montevideo vs Sol de America
Competition: Copa Sudamericana
Date: 15 August 2018
Kick-off: 02:45 CET
Nacional’s double chance (paying something over 1.50) and their win in “draw no bet” were my two tips almost a month ago when they visited Sol de América for the first leg, and the Uruguayans left Asunción with a goalless draw, a rather tricky result. The new championship in Uruguay started four days after that match, and the Montevideo side have enjoyed an awesome start, winning all four games, being the only team to have picked up all 12 points possible these last weeks. The… coin has another side, though; excluding their 3-0 at Fénix, they suffered to win their games, usually conceding first, and needing late goals to avoid dropping points. At the end of the day though, they have… found ways to avoid “traps”. Suffering, but they did find ways, in every single match.
The timing looks good for Sol de América. The Clausura in Paraguay started right after their first leg against Nacional. They drew in their first three matches, 2-2 (twice) and 1-1, before losing 2-0 at Cerro Porteño, but last weekend they finally won, 2-1, at home, over Independiente de Campo Grande. You may have noticed that they have conceded in every single game. Then again, even a draw will be enough for them in Montevideo, as long as they score. Last time they played abroad they lost 3-1 at Independiente Medellín, in the first round of the Copa Sudamericana, earlier this year. They had won 2-0 at home, they even took the lead in Colombia, but at the end they almost got eliminated.

Nacional Montevideo vs Sol de America: Head to head Stats
Nacional have hosted Sol just once before, in 1992. That Copa Libertadores group stage game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Nacional Montevideo vs Sol de America: Prediction
Unlike a month ago, this time the game between these two should have goals. They have been playing regularly for four weeks now, while a month ago they were… on a break, in between tournaments.
Nacional Montevideo vs Sol de America: Betting Tips
Nacional have allowed several goals recently, Sol have conceded in all their games, and both teams have also scored in all their games (excluding one, in Sol’s case). “Both teams to score” feels like a long shot to bookies, they offer 2.85, but having followed both teams’ matches these last weeks, I feel goals will come from both sides.
