Newell’s Old Boys vs Argentinos Juniors
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 30 October 2018
Kick-off: 00:00 CET
Newell’s Old Boys lost 1-0 at Estudiantes on Wednesday, and their coach, Omar De Felippe, was left furious. First, for the red card shown to a player of his in the 63rd minute (Estudiantes scored the winner soon after that). Then, for how the Superliga is organized. Newell’s have to play five matches in 16 days (they have already played two of those), and their coach was left wondering “what the hell is happening here? Can’t they find solutions so that a team is not obliged to play five matches in 16 days? You need to watch your back all the time, with the Superliga, the referees… This can’t be happening”, he said, implying at the end that if they don’t beat Rosario Central in their Copa Argentina knock-out match, he could leave Newell’s(!). La Lepra is 19th(!) in the table, on just eight points from nine matches.
Ezequiel Carboni, Argentinos Juniors’ coach, told reporters after his team’s latest defeat that he’s the main responsible, it’s him to blame, he’s the one who needs to find solutions. They lost 0-1 at home to Unión Santa Fe last weekend, getting stuck at just four points, second-to-last in the table. They have lost four of their last five matches (one in the Copa Argentina included), and that draw they managed, was at San Martín Tucumán. Carboni said he was disappointed and very-very troubled, because every single detail of his plan for the game against Unión Santa Fe, failed.

Newell’s Old Boys vs Argentinos Juniors: Prediction
Newell’s are having a very poor season, but they do have two wins in a row at home, over teams… not worse than Argentinos Juniors.
Newell’s Old Boys vs Argentinos Juniors: Betting Tips
I’m backing the hosts to win, building on their good – recent – home record, taking advantage of Argentinos Juniors’ bad moment. Their win is at 2.20, with their double chance very low, 1.28.
