Nieciecza vs Slask Wroclaw
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 12 December 2017
Kick-off: 20:30 CET
You look at a team lose 3-0 away from home, playing against the second-placed in the table, and you don’t blink an eye, you take is as perfectly normal. It was made normal, given how Legia Warsaw played last weekend, when they hosted Nieciecza. But truth is, lowly Nieciecza had major chances to score, even take the lead, in the 9th minute. Yes, they lost 3-0, but in all fairness, the final score is kind of… not representative of the whole 90 minutes. Nieciecza have back-to-back losses, just two points from their last four matches, and they are among those teams who are… hoping for the winter break to come as soon as possible, so as to be given the chance to… regroup, before the Ekstraklasa returns in February (still winter, but… they can’t delay it more than that). They are second-to-last in the table, having only Pogon Szczecin below them.
Slask could have gone 1-0 down less than 60 seconds into the game when they hosted Piast Gliwice last weekend, but not only their goalkeeper performed a… miracle to save them, but about 80 seconds later they scored an awesome goal themselves, to take the lead. A horrible Tarasovs mistake, combined with Papadopulos’ cleverness, helped Piast equalize, but Piech did it again for Slask, giving them the lead for a second time. Both teams missed huge chances, Robak a fantastic one to make it 3-1 and finish the game off, but in the 88th minute a former Slask player headed the ball in. Amazingly, even after that, Slask missed a “you’ve got to be kidding me…” chance to win the game. A point was all they got, their first draw since late September(!). They had three wins and five losses since then.

Nieciecza have hosted Slask just twice before, both in the last two years. They lost once (1-2), and they drew once (1-1).
Nieciecza vs Slask Wroclaw: Prediction
I’ll be surprised if Slask don’t get anything from this game, but I don’t trust them enough to suggest a clear-cut win of theirs.
Nieciecza vs Slask Wroclaw: Betting Tips
Slask’s double chance pays 1.57. Their win in “draw no bet” is at a good 2.10. Robak has been very quiet for weeks now, hasn’t score since October 27, but I have a hunch that in this game he will get his name on the scoresheet.
