OFI Crete vs Levadiakos
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 17 March 2019
Kick-off: 14:00 CET
Goalless draw with Larissa at home two weeks ago, goalless draw at Apollon Smyrnis last week, two very poor results for OFI, that kept them second-to-last in the table, three points behind 13th-placed PAS Giannina. Plus, they have a huge… battle coming up, midweek, when their case will be discussed. “Case”, meaning the initial decision to have them relegated to the Football League, because of a bribing incident back in 2017, when they were still playing in the second division. OFI’s situation looks… hopeless. Chances are, their appeal will fail, and they will get relegated indeed, regardless of what happens in this game. The only good thing right now for them, is that their main shareholder seems 100% willing to keep backing OFI’s project, even if they get relegated.
Levadiakos lost a six-point match last week, at Larissa, staying below the relegation line, 14th in the table, while AEL’s chances of spending at least another season in the Super League received a massive boost. Levadiakos blamed the referee and their… bad luck for the 2-0 loss in Larissa. They lost the game (first defeat in four matches), they lost left-back Thanasis Panteliadis as well (got sent-off in the 77th minute, with the score at 1-0 at that point. Unlike OFI, Levadiakos’ mission to avoid relegation feels… doable, attainable, as they are just two points behind 13th-placed Giannina, and they don’t have a “guilty as charged; you are going down” decision hanging above their heads.

One win for OFI, three for Levadiakos, and a draw, in five games between these two in Crete between 2011 and 2014.
OFI Crete vs Levadiakos: Prediction
OFI are considered relatively clear favorites to win the game, but I wouldn’t bet on that. I have lost my faith in them weeks ago.
OFI Crete vs Levadiakos: Betting Tips
Levadiakos’ double chance pays 2.02. Acting a bit greedy, I would combine their double chance with “under 2.5 goals”, at 2.55.
