Olympiakos vs Panetolikos
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 3 December 2018
Kick-off: 18:30 CET
Olympiakos Piraeus conceded late in the first half on Thursday in Seville, facing Betis, lost 1-0, but still have a chance to qualify for the last-32 of the Europa League; in 10 days they are hosting AC Milan. They need a win by two goals, not just one. It looks very hard, someone could say almost impossible, but… time will tell. Last weekend they beat Atromitos 1-2, away from home, scoring the winner in added time, playing with an extra man. They are third in the table, two points behind second-placed Atromitos (who shot their own foot on Saturday drawing with Apollon Smyrnis), and six behind leaders PAOK. Off the field, the Piraeus club are making their plans for the winter transfer period, and every day that passes it feels more and more probable to part ways with Yaya Touré, who hasn’t won his coach’s trust these last months, after his return from England.
Panetolikos registered their biggest win of the season thus far last weekend when they beat AEK 2-1 at home. They were 2-0 up early in the second half, AEK’s goal came in the 77th minute, so the Agrinio side actually won more easily than what the final score suggests. They are 9th in the table, on 15 points from 11 matches, decent, despite their very-very slow start of the season. There are three players Traianos Dellas cannot count on; center-back Enea Mihaj is injured, while both defensive midfielder Sebastian Eriksson and central midfielder Marcos Paulo are not fit enough, yet, to play, after recovering from injuries.

Olympiakos vs Panetolikos: Head to head Stats
Olympiakos have hosted Panetolikos six times before, all in the last seven years, and have won all six games.
Olympiakos vs Panetolikos: Prediction
Olympiakos have already lost at home to PAOK, drawn with Panathinaikos (equalizing in added time), it was a super late goal that earned them all three points against bottom-of-the-table Apollon Smyrnis, same with Asteras Tripolis (another added-time goal), all home games in the Super League. My point is, they can’t be trusted blindly to win, especially in a game against a team that have their morale… over the roof, after beating AEK last weekend.
Olympiakos vs Panetolikos: Betting Tips
“Both teams to score”, at 2.62, is a risk I would take in this game. Panetolikos should look… free to play football, knowing that no one expects them to get anything out of this game. “Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score” is at 3.10, even riskier, but both suit my 2-1 hunch.
