Olympiakos vs PAS Giannina
Competition: Greek Super League
Date: 23 April 2017
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
If it were another country, Olympiakos would have been in trouble with what happened after the end of the first leg of their Cup semifinal against AEK at home, when, apparently, members of the visiting team were attacked by ‘unknown’ people on their way to the dressing room. If it were another country, Olympiakos could have seen points deducted from them, which would make this game against Giannina much more important than what it is now. A single point is enough for Olympiakos to secure another Championship title, since they are six points above second-placed PAOK, and there are only two games remaining, this one included. The hosts will be without suspended centre-back Botia, and coach Lemonis is expected to avoid risking Cambiasso and left winger Elyounoussi. They had some minor injury troubles midweek, both of them are almost 100% ok, but with the return leg against AEK coming up in a few days, Lemonis has no reason to risk them.
Giannina traveled to Piraeus with 17 players, they couldn’t even fly with a full 18-member squad, because they have lots of players unavailable, for various reasons. Jairo, Lila, Acosta, Conde, Tzimopoulos and Skondras are the half a dozen players who were left behind, and most of them would be in the starting lineup if available, something that speaks volumes of how probable it is for Giannina to earn a positive result at Olympiakos. Not that they need it. They have lost all interest in the Championship weeks ago. Giannina haven’t won a single game since February 18. Since then, they have lost three (including the last two to Veria and Iraklis), and drawn four.

Olympiakos vs PAS Giannina: Prediction
Olympiakos should win. Simple as that.
Olympiakos vs PAS Giannina: Tips
An Olympiakos win pays nothing. Given how poorly Giannina have been doing for weeks now, and important players missing from their midfield and attack, an Olympiakos win with a clean sheet makes good sense. For more than that, 3-0 as correct score is at 5.50, and Cardozo scoring anytime in a 3-0 game pushes the potential earnings even higher.
