Panetolikos vs Asteras Tripolis
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 28 October 2018
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
Panetolikos played their best game since the start of the season last weekend, beating PAS Giannina 0-2 away from home. Giannina’s coach complained after the match, saying that Panetolikos’ players went too far wasting time in the second half. Traianos Dellas, Panetolikos’ coach, believe it or not, apologized(!) for that, and he meant it, he wasn’t being… ironic. Dellas’ job at the Agrinio club was in danger after their poor start of the season, but after that 0-2 triumph in Giannina, and of course their home win just before that, the board of directors forgot all about bringing in a new coach. They are 8th in the table, on 11 points from seven matches.
Asteras Tripolis were left absolutely gutted at the end of their game at Atromitos last weekend. They were visiting one of the two co-leaders, they went down late in the first half from the penalty spot, they went again down (2-1) in the 61st minute because of an own-goal, and despite equalizing twice, they still lost the game in the 88th minute, conceding yet again. They were feeling they deserved at least a point in Peristeri. Four points from seven matches have them third-to-last in the table. There were rumors these last days that the board of directors were thinking about firing coach Pandelidis, but they went on record, publicly, backing him to stay, and to turn the situation around.

Panetolikos vs Asteras Tripolis: Head to head Stats
Two wins for Panetolikos, two for Asteras as well, and a draw, in the last five games between these two in Agrinio.
Panetolikos vs Asteras Tripolis: Prediction
The game is expected so tight, that bookies give practically the same chances to all three results(!). Personally, I’m backing Asteras to earn at least a draw. They are third-to-last in the table, but six out of their seven matches thus far, have been against the top-6(!) teams in the table.
Panetolikos vs Asteras Tripolis: Betting Tips
Asteras’ win in “draw no bet” is at 1.85, and their double chance at just 1.40. “Both teams to score” pays better, 2.25. All three suit my 1-1 or 1-2 hunch.
