Panetolikos vs Kerkyra
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 25 February 2018
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
Last weekend I backed Panetolikos to beat Levadiakos away from home, their victory was paying more than 3.00, and they delivered, no matter if they needed two penalties. Both were penalties indeed, and not just that, but Levadiakos’ goalkeeper, the player who committed both, saw two yellow cards, and left his team with 10 men in the 55th minute. Second win in a row for Panetolikos, third in their last six games in which they have lost just once, to leaders PAOK, with an 87th-minute goal from the penalty spot. As I keep writing for some weeks now, they look like a whole different team under Traianos Dellas. They are 10th in the table, five points behind 5th-placed Panionios. Not that their target is a Europa League ticket, but… mathematically, they’re in with a chance, so… why not?
The gods of football wanted Kerkyra to beat Apollon Smyrnis last weekend… First, they scored a crazy goal in the 40th minute, with Apollon having lost good chances to take the lead. By “crazy”, I mean that the ball went in from Apollon goalkeeper’s back, after a Martin Rolle foul kick that sent the ball to the horizontal post (then to the keeper’s back, and that’s how it went in). Then, their coach had decided to substitute Denis Epstein. Before he had the chance to make the change, Epstein scored(!), giving Kerkyra a two-goal advantage. They absolutely needed to win, you could tell by the way they celebrated the first goal, with everyone from the bench jumping onto the field as if it was the… 93rd minute. They are no longer in the relegation zone, they left Apollon Smyrnis there, two points behind them.

Panetolikos vs Kerkyra: Prediction
I wish Panetolikos’ win were paying better than 1.53. It kind of makes sense to be there, but I consider it low, and am looking for something better.
Panetolikos vs Kerkyra: Betting Tips
If 1.53 is enough for you, go for a simple Panetolikos win. For more than that, I would gamble with “Panetolikos and over 2.5 goals”, at 3.10 betting odds. “Over 2.5 goals” alone is at 2.40, because obviously betting companies are not really counting on outsiders Kerkyra to score.
