Panionios vs Lamia
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 26 November 2018
Kick-off: 18:30 CET
Giorgos Masouras’ goal in the 36th minute gave Panionios all three points two weeks ago at Xanthi. It was his fourth goal this season, and one of the last ones wearing Panionios’ jersey. A few days ago it was announced that Olympiakos Piraeus reached an agreement with the Nea Smirni club, and the 24-year-old winger will be moving there the 1st of January. It has been happening every single season for years now; Panionios players start a season great, and by mid December they have been “sold” to Olympiakos. It’s one of the main reasons why Panionios keep having a good first half of the season, and a not even nearly as good second half (having missed key players during the winter transfer period). Masouras’ contract was running out the coming June, so Panionios made sure to get something out of – either way – losing him. They are on 14 points, 9th in the table.
Lamia drew with Asteras Tripolis at home two weeks ago, without goals, the fifth game in a row in which they managed to stay undefeated. Eleven points have them 10th in the table. To have stayed unbeaten in five game weeks in a row is a really big accomplishment for modest Lamia, a team that appeared in the Super League last season, managed to avoid relegation, and looks perfectly capable of doing the same thing this year. On another note, Ukrainian center-forward Evgen Budnik is about to leave Lamia. He moved there from Platanias almost a year ago, but these last months he failed to… convince both Lamia coaches (the one who started the season and the one who succeeded him).

Panionios vs Lamia: Head to head Stats
Panionios beat Lamia twice earlier this year, both in the Super League and the Greece Cup, both times 1-0. They had never hosted them before.
Panionios vs Lamia: Prediction
Panionios have two wins and a draw in their last three home games, but Lamia have stayed undefeated in their last three on the road. All things considered, I’m backing the visitors to earn at least a point in Nea Smirni.
Panionios vs Lamia: Betting Tips
Lamia’s double chance is at 2.05, my only tip, unless you are ok with the 1.53 that “under 2.5 goals” pays.
