PAOK vs Panetolikos
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 11 November 2018
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
PAOK had had some negative results this season, but up until last Thursday, they had always bounced back right after one. This time, they failed, and failed big. They lost 1-0 at MOL Vidi, second defeat to the same team in the Europa League in two weeks, and their dream of qualifying for the last 32 of the competition is… very close to dying. They need Vidi to lose both their last matches, and they also need not just to beat BATE in Thessaloniki, but also earn a point at Chelsea(!). Good luck with the last one… Last weekend, they drew 1-1 at Atromitos. Under normal circumstances, drawing away from home against the second-placed, is not a bad result for the leaders in a championship, but Atromitos played without key players, and PAOK took the lead, so they should have done a much better work and leave Peristeri with all three points. They didn’t. There is a feeling that Razvan Lucescu is… wasting some of his players, insisting on backing guys who seem either tired or… out-of-form. PAOK keep saying since the start of the season that they have two almost as good lineups, 22 players who can play any given time, but truth is, the Romanian coach looks… obsessed with the same ones, even when they have back-to-back(-to-back-to-back) poor games. Maybe it’s time to… shake things up a bit. The Thessaloniki side remain leaders, on 23 points from nine matches, eight wins and that draw last weekend.
Center-forward Alhassan Kamara is back from injury at Panetolikos, but they still have several key players missing. Striker Vlad Morar, central midfielder Marcos Paulo, defensive midfielder Sebastian Eriksson, and center-back Enea Mihaj, all four are injured, and the last one is not expected back before 2019. Last weekend, Panetolikos lost 3-0 at Panionios, with their hands down. The score was at 3-0 by the 28th minute. No further comment… They started this weekend 8th in the table, on 12 points from nine matches.

I can’t imagine PAOK not winning this game.
PAOK vs Panetolikos: Betting Tips
A simple PAOK win pays very little, 1.16. I expect them to try please the crowd. “Over 2.5 goals” is at 1.65. Pushing it a bit, “over 3.5”pays 2.50, and seems worth the risk to me.
