PAS Giannina vs Kerkyra
Competition: Greek Super League
Date: 18th February 2017
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
It’s been a month since PAS last won a game, but somehow they managed to stay close to the Top 5. Last week’s crazy away match at Platanias, where PAS were 0-2 up by the 11th minute, only to go 3-2 down early in the second half, and finally save a point with yet another Pedro Conde goal, showed that the Giannina team are really capable of the best and the worst, sometimes during the same game. Two things are for sure, though; PAS are a super tough team to beat in Giannina (they have six clean sheets in 10 home matches), and coach Petrakis has all his players available for this game.
Kerkyra have a great reason to be over the moon these days, since their 1-0 win against Levadiakos last week practically secured their presence in next year’s Super League as well. Incredible things need to happen in the rest of the season for Kerkyra to find themselves in the relegation zone. The lack of extreme pressure from now on, could allow them to play better football and maybe grab some unexpected positive results against stronger sides, even though their roster is rather limited. No injury or suspension problems for them ahead of the game in Giannina.
PAS Giannina vs Kerkyra: Head-to-head Stats
PAS have won their last seven home games against Kerkyra, even the away first round game back in October.
PAS Giannina vs Kerkyra: Prediction
Even though PAS have not won a single game in exactly a month, they should win this one. They play at home, against a weaker side, they face no injury or suspension problems, and last week they showed signs of… awakening, scoring-wise, despite the fact that defensively they made a total ridicule of themselves. They are by no means a free-scoring team, but at home they are definitely solid defensively, not having conceded a goal in six out of ten games this season so far. Even with the narrowest of margins, even with a goal in the dying minutes of the match, they should win.
PAS Giannina vs Kerkyra: Tips
PAS are considered grand favorites to grab all three points, so if someone wants to maximize his potential earnings he could combine a Giannina win with Pedro Conde to score anytime, or, even better, first. The 28-year-old Spaniard is in excellent form, having scored four goals in the last three Super League matches, four of Giannina’s five goals in those same games.
