Pogon Szczecin vs Zaglebie Lubin
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 10 December 2017
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Last weekend, I felt the time had come for Pogon Szczecin to get a big result, and after watching their game at Jagiellonia Bialystok, sure, they lost 1-0, but I still feel they deserved much better, against a rather… frustrating Bialystok side. Pogon went 1-0 down very early in the game, as both the referee and his closest assistant felt that there was no Frankowski foul on Nunes. Despite playing away from home, against a team high in the table, Pogon anything but surrendered, and someone could claim they spent the rest of the match in control. Especially in the second half, they created 5-6 decent chances to equalize, while Jagiellonia failed to finish one decent counter-attack, just… sitting back, as if they were playing away from home, against… Manchester City. Pity for Pogon, who, I repeat, deserved at least a point last weekend.
Phew… Last weekend I was super confident that Zaglebie, the pitiful Zaglebie of the last several weeks, would beat Nieciecza, an undefeated for two months team. Actually, I went that far as to share my belief that the game would go over 2.5 goals, without necessarily Nieciecza scoring, predicting 3-4 Zaglebie goals. Zaglebie did score four times, all between the 36th and the 48th minute(!), but they had gone 1-0 down earlier, and Nieciecza had missed a big chance to make it 0-2. Even so, looking at how gutsy and determined Zaglebie looked on the pitch, I think they would have come back, even if they had gone 2-0 down. Świerczok was… “wow”, scoring a hat-trick in something less than 10 minutes(!), just before the end of the first half. Keep in mind, Zaglebie hadn’t scored in three consecutive games before last weekend, which made my “they will score 3-4 goals” prediction even… weirder, but… it came good, so, all good.

Pogon Szczecin vs Zaglebie Lubin: Betting Tips
At 2.80, I feel the risk on Zaglebie’s win is worth it. That’s my only tip, not because I don’t see goals, mostly from Zaglebie, but because I feel the visitors’ win pays that well, that makes taking any extra risk kind of… too greedy.
