PSG vs Liverpool
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 28 November 2018
Kick-off: 21:00 CET
Paris Saint-Germain are with their back against the wall, sitting third in the group table, on five points. Both Napoli and Liverpool are just one point ahead of them, so… things are not… tragic, but they have already lost a battle, regarding Napoli; if they finish level on points with them, it’s the Italian side that have the advantage. In two weeks, PSG will be visiting Red Star in Belgrade, a super tricky match, as Liverpool found out earlier this month, when they lost 2-0 there. Plus, PSG have a double headache, regarding their two biggest stars, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé. Both got injured a few days ago, while on international duty. Both are expected to play, actually to start, but things may change just before kick-off. Even if they do start, no one can guarantee that they will be able to stay on the field until the end. PSG are expected to have Buffon, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Kimpembé, Meunier, Verratti, Di Maria, Bernat, Mbappé, Cavani and Neymar in the starting lineup.
Three weeks ago, Liverpool were obviously considered big favorites to win in Belgrade, but I shared my doubts, “remembering” how tough Red Star had looked at home against Napoli, earning a draw. My tip was “under 2.5 goals”, at 2.50, leaving winners and losers aside. Did I expect Liverpool to drop points? Yes. Did I expect them to lose, and, 2-0(!)? No. They’ve bounced back since then, they beat both Fulham and Watford without conceding, and they are still in the group’s top-2, level on points with Napoli, one ahead of PSG (and two ahead of Red Star, don’t forget them). In two weeks, they will be hosting Napoli. Jurgen Klopp is expected to have Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Firmino, Mané and Salah in the starting lineup.

PSG vs Liverpool: Head to head Stats
PSG have hosted Liverpool once before, in 1997; they won that game, 3-0.
PSG vs Liverpool: Prediction
PSG are considered favorites to win, but I wouldn’t bet on that. I definitely prefer focusing on goals.
PSG vs Liverpool: Betting Tips
“Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score” is at 1.66, not… “wow”, but not “horrible” either. Will the game go “over 3.5”? I say yes, because of the… nature of both teams, and PSG’s deep need to win the game. It pays 2.20.
