PSV vs Haugesund
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Date: 15 August 2019
Kick-off: 20:30 CET
“PSV and under 3.5 goals” (2.35) was the tip here last week, when the Dutch side visited Haugesund, and it came good, thanks to Steven Bergwijn’s goal in the 24th minute from the penalty spot. It is interesting how PSV had one attempt less than Haugesund (13-12), but five on target, while the Norwegian side didn’t have a single one(!). On Sunday, PSV beat Den Haag 3-1 at home, despite going 0-1 down a bit over half an hour into the game. That was their first win in their championship. Mexican winger Hirving Lozano got injured, had to get substituted in the 50th minute, but Mark van Bommel told reporters later that the 24-year-old is ok. Actually, his transfer to Napoli should be completed any day now. Van Bommel, a former Franck Ribery teammate at Bayern, has publicly said that he is trying to convince the Frenchman to join PSV.
Haugesund were left feeling they deserved better last week, but that “0” next “attempts on target”, speaks for itself. On Sunday they lost again, to Ranheim, another home defeat, another game in which they failed to score. To have any chance of qualifying, Haugesund need to score in Eindhoven. They have actually scored in their last three away games, at Cliftonville, Sturm Graz and Stabaek, but obviously, PSV are at a whole different level. Besides, scoring won’t be Haugesund’s only… hard to achieve task, they will also need to look at their best defensively, against a team that have scored six goals at home in the two games they have played there at the start of this new season.

PSV vs Haugesund: Head to head Stats
Last week’s game was the first ever between these two.
PSV vs Haugesund: Prediction
I don’t see how Haugesund can produce the mega surprise they need in order to qualify.
PSV vs Haugesund: Betting Tips
Once again, just like last week, I’m going with “PSV and under 3.5 goals”, at 1.87. Haugesund need to score, but I seriously doubt they will take any major risks before the last 20 minutes.
